Raiders Make Record $25 Million Commitment to Nevada Children’s Hospital
The Las Vegas Raiders are bringing hope and support to families across Nevada through the largest philanthropic commitment in franchise history.
The team and Intermountain Health announced Monday that the Raiders will contribute $25 million toward the construction of Nevada’s first stand-alone children’s hospital. Raiders owners Mark Davis, Egon Durban and Michael Meldman each donated $5 million, while the organization committed another $10 million to the project.
“We want this gift to remind children and families that they have our team backing them and that the support of the entire Raider Nation is in their corner,” Davis said in a statement.
Planned for the UNLV Harry Reid Research and Technology Park, the Intermountain Health Nevada Children’s Hospital will establish a new center for comprehensive, high-acuity pediatric care in the state. Construction is expected to begin in the coming months, with the hospital anticipated to open in 2030.
The 828,000-square-foot facility will occupy a 33-acre campus and initially include 180 patient beds. Its design will also provide space for future expansion as Nevada’s pediatric healthcare needs grow.
Children and families will have access to specialized emergency services, inpatient treatment, specialty care and a comprehensive outpatient center—all designed around the unique needs of young patients.
Mitch Cloward, Intermountain Health’s region president, praised the organization’s commitment to Nevada families.
“The Raiders are committed to excellence, and this gift is a generational investment that will keep families closer, strengthen our community, and give every kid every chance to thrive.”
In recognition of the donation, two welcoming and restorative areas within the hospital will carry the Raiders’ name.
The Las Vegas Raiders Bistro will be located beside the main lobby. It is intended to give parents and caregivers a comforting place to rest, share a meal and find a sense of normalcy while supporting a hospitalized child.
The Las Vegas Raiders Inpatient Rehab Gym will help young patients rebuild strength and confidence through movement and play. Advanced therapeutic equipment will be combined with lively design features to create a more positive and encouraging rehabilitation experience.

Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan said the gift reflects a broader investment in the promise and potential of Nevada’s children.
“When we invest in children, we invest in everything that comes next – their education, their opportunities, and their future,” Morgan said in a statement. “We want Nevada’s kids to know that their home team is cheering them on.”
