However, Jerry sensed something was amiss. Uncharacteristically, he kept coming over to Luis and nudging his chin against Luis's leg, showing a level of intuition that was hard to ignore.

Concerned by Jerry's unusual behavior, Luis and his wife decided to visit the hospital. After several hours of tests, they discovered that Luis had a blood clot in his left leg, known as deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Remarkably, it was in the very spot where Jerry had rested his head. DVT is a serious condition that can escalate quickly, and receiving prompt treatment that evening was crucial.
